This was one of the more unusual wooden jigsaw puzzles I have assembled. There is only a partial set of border piece straight edges. Most of the rest of the outer border has curved shapes. This puzzle also has cutout sections in the interior near the four corners. That makes it challenging to determine the shape of the pieces to populate those areas of the puzzle. I really liked that.
The picture you are assembling is very confusing but if you pay close attention, you can see some unique features with the dragons which helps you narrow down what pieces to search through.
All of the pieces are precisely laser cut and fit together well. I loved the variety of shapes. That helps to make the puzzle even more interesting. This puzzle is not hugely difficult but it is a lot of fun.
I was really worried that this puzzle was going to be super difficult with all of the odd shaped pieces. That turned out to not be the case. The most difficult part for me was putting together the border. I had never done a wooden jigsaw puzzle before, so I was pleasantly surprised by the thickness and sturdiness of the pieces. I believe that these pieces, no matter how tiny, are much more durable than a standard puzzle. I really appreciate that it came with a picture of the completed puzzle so you could refer to it when putting the puzzle together. All in all it took me about a day to complete this. My only complaint is that I only got the one design.
