Let's figure it out: who invented the puzzle and when did it happen? The reasons and preconditions for this toy are very interesting. The history of jigsaw puzzles is based on the entrepreneurial spirit and ingenuity of an English card engraver. In 1766, John Spilsbury decided to add a playful moment to his geography lessons in order to awaken his students' enthusiasm for learning, and he cut the map along the borders of countries using wooden planks for the foundation. Thus, after working with scissors and a jigsaw, he implemented a completely successful startup and invented the world's first puzzle. The new game gained a lot of interest from students, it was widely used in educational institutions, but its cost was quite high. For a long time, only cards were printed on puzzles, and a wooden base was used for the base.
